Between the sea and Mount Skopos
Argassi lies just south of Zakynthos Town, along the coast road towards Vasilikos. On one side is a long strip of beach with hotels, tavernas and bars; on the other, the slopes of Mount Skopos rise steeply, covered in olive trees and pine. In the sea at Argassi you can still see the stone arches of an old bridge from the Venetian period.
From the hillside, the views open over the town, the harbour and across the water to the Peloponnese.
Why buyers choose Argassi
Location. A property here works as a holiday rental in summer and stays useful all year, because town, the port and the airport are all close. It is one of the few areas where both resort guests and people who live on the island want to rent.
The hills above Argassi also offer large sea-view plots, from small building plots for a house to land suitable for larger projects.
What to know before you buy
The main road through Argassi is busy in summer, so check traffic and noise for properties on it. On the slopes of Skopos, the gradient, road access and the buildable area of each plot vary a lot, and some areas have protection rules. Your engineer checks all of this before you commit.
Who Argassi suits
Buyers who want a holiday home close to town, investors who want both summer and year-round demand, and buyers of sea-view land.
